the best hats ever...

We decided to head out to the park and catch as many fun photos as we could of these CUTE little sweeties! Big brother is not shy in front of the camera at all, and I had too much fun asking him to look at the camera -- he did whenever I asked! Imagine that! And little sis was just the most adorable, smart gal -- I wish I could have recorded her sweet voice so I could listen to her over and over! And Mom brought along the BEST hats ever -- people couldn't stop commenting on them! So good to see you all again! Thank you for such a fun morning, you three!!

Miller Family!

The Central Valley weather cooperated with us for this shoot as it was nice and overcast! Well, for the first several shots, anyway... the sun did make its way out towards the end to warm us up a bit. Taking photos of families having fun and loving on each other is my absolute favorite!! These dear friends have no problem letting their personalities shine even when a camera is snapping in front of them. Thank you so much for allowing me in on some sweet family time!

Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat...

our children are pretty far apart in age, so when I realized there were sneakers in the same color in each of their sizes (and that it was cool to wear them whether they were boys or girls), I got a little giddy at the thought of all of them having something that matched! I guess its a crazy mom thing... but they were actually excited about it, too. I had to document their cute feet, and some silly faces to go along with them!

I knew there was no getting around absolutely adorable images with this sweet girl!! If only you could hear her talk in the photos as well... We had fun doing a little exploring for just the right spot for her shoot, and thanks to her mom, came up with these great settings! Thank you so much, J & B!!

truly such fun to meet this family! very sweet, beautiful children, and i thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the adults, and smart little A! speaking of sweet, those jelly bellies worked wonders, didn't they? thank you for such a wonderful saturday morning!

beautiful friendships, beautiful scenery

We were blessed to have some friends of ours come ALL the way from Illinois to spend time with us!! Well, I think they also came to see California and all the gorgeous beaches, mountains, and national parks, too... But my favorite part was that we got to see it all together! We went camping in the redwoods (this made my friend a little nervous, but proved to be very fun, despite the quarter slot showers! hey, there WERE showers!!) and had so many great photo opportunities, but we decided to take some simple shots on a big tree stump right in our campsite! My hubby was even setting up all his famous camping gear (including his new "kitchen" that he built himself!) as we were shooting... Here are a few of my favorites of the Smith family!

One of the great things about California is there are TONS of great places to go camping! And with our recent steal-of-a-deal pop-up trailer purchase, we are trying to get to as many as we can! The gorgeous backdrops all around us of course made for some fun images of our kiddos... and since they were having so much fun, I don't think they minded me snapping away :o).
